Prepublication of an amendment to the Regulation respecting the monthly report

The proposed modification of an amendment to the Regulation respecting the monthly report was published in the Gazette officielle du Québec on November 26, 2025 for a 45-day consultation period. The amendmend  concerns the removal of the date of birth of employees from the monthly reports.

Following the 45-day consultation period, the government will proceed with the final publication, according to a schedule it will determine. The amendment will only come into effect on the 15th day following this publication.

Listed below are the changes resulting from the amendment, based on the different modes of transmission of the monthly reports.

•    There are no changes if you send your monthly reports electronically (auto, XML) or through the Portal.  Remember to enter the date of birth when adding a new employee.

•    If using our pre-printed paper forms, you will notice that the field for the employee’s date of birth will be removed on the new forms. It will be mandatory to provide us the date of birth of any new employee together with the monthly report on which he is listed on for the first time.  The information can be sent on the Date of birth form, available under the Employer section of our website or any other internal form that you may have.

•    If you send us your own computerized reports by mail, you can remove the employee’s date of birth on the form. If so, it will be mandatory to provide us the date of birth of all new employee together with the monthly report on which he is listed on for the first time.  The information can be sent on the Date of birth form, available under the Employer section of our website or any other internal form that you may have.
